Confusing title?
So you ask yourself why did I name this blog Watch out for the forks? Well, as Tyler and I have began this whole wedding process we have gotten a ton of tips and advice from friends and families about marriage. But there is one piece of advice that caught our attention...Watch out for the forks... Forks? Really? There are several different styles and shapes but ... forks? Apparently choosing which forks to register for is one of those tough decisions that couples don't expect to encounter and that can end up causing a fight. It seems like odd advice but I guess if you take it and apply it to everything in life it makes sense. Marriage doesn't always involve making big, life-changing decisions together, but sometimes it is just paying attention to the details and listening to one another... Hmm. Forks.

introduction.
Here is a quick introduction to the future Mr and Mrs. Tyler Bessinger...
We met in college through a mutual friend, Kellyn Willis. We slowly became friends and then we started dating. Our first date was on April Fools Day which is somewhat ironic but so far there has not been a joke to it. We fell in love. We got a dog (the most perfect dog by the way). We got engaged on Thanksgiving on the beach. My parents watched from a distance and took pictures and now we are in the fun yet time consuming process of planning a wedding.

Just as an added bonus... Here is Riley :)

the beginning.
I am going to be a Bessinger. Weird. My entire life I have been a Wilson. I was born a Wilson. I stood at the back of the alphabetical line in Elementary school because I was a Wilson. My driver's license says Wilson. My passport says Wilson. My high school and college diplomas say Wilson. I entered into the working world as a Wilson. And now I will be a Bessinger. This is the beginning of my life as a Bessinger.
This blog will be a culmination of the decisions, tastings, brainstorming, ideas and projects that will take place on my road to becoming a Bessinger. Enjoy!
